Electrostatic rods are used for generating static charges for the teaching and the demonstration of electrostatics. Made from high quality perspex, also available in Nylon, Polystyrene (Styrene), Polyethylene (Polythene), Glass and Ebonite (vulcanised rubber). It can be demonstrated that when different materials are rubbed with different cloths, different polarity charges are generated.
